gTLD domain name transfers are free. You only pay for a 12 months renewal of the domain registration. You'll keep any remaining months from the current registration period. The registration period is extended for a further 12 months.

Prepare your domain for transfer

• Login at the Control Panel of the current registrar and ensure that the admin contact email address for your domain name is correct. It is crucial that you have access to this email address to transfer your domain name.

• To transfer a domain name it must be unlocked. Login at the Control Panel of your current domain name provider to unlock the domain name is it's locked.

• Request your domain's Authorisation Code (Transfer key) from your current provider. You would find this Code in your Control Panel. We need this code to make the transfer.

• The domain name must be registered at least 60 days ago.

• It is advisable to start the domain transfers at least 2 weeks before the expiration date of the domain name.

Authorise the transfer

• Shortly after you have made your domain name transfer request, an email will be send to your domain name's admin contact email address asking you to authorise the domain name transfer. All you need to do is follow the easy domain transfer instructions in the email to complete the move to ziz.gr.

• The transfer must be authorised within 5 days from the day you recieve the email.
